Healthcare Reform legislation, now pending in Congress, has focused with laser intensity, America's attention on
the subjects of healthcare access, cost, and, quality .

In considering the generic subject of Healthcare, we risk losing sight of the truth that all HealthCARE is hyper-local.  Comprehending a million of anything is beyond our individual experience and practical understanding.Dr. Wang Author of Perfect Patient Care

Wise Health Consumers understand that all Care is given on a scale of one to one—that’s the stuff of healing.  And we all recognize true healing concern wherever we are fortunate enough to encounter it.

We are blessed in Dayton to have a True Healer monitoring the quality of care at Kettering Medical Center and Kettering Health Network.  I am writing about Rebekah Wang-Cheng, MD FACP., and Director of Quality of Care.

Dr. Wang is a high-tech savvy physician.  But more than that, she is compassionate and concerned for the welfare of every patient in her hospitals.

Beyond the recognition Kettering Hospital has bestowed, Dr. Wang has received national recognition  for her vision and administrative effectiveness.  This week, she is speaking at theNational Association for Healthcare Quality at their annual meeting in Dallas, Texas.  Characteristically, her topic is Perfect Patient Care.

National Assn. for Healthcare Quality Guardians Dr. Wang had the foresight to choose to be born to parents who were in the nursing home business--the perfect starting-point for a career in one-on-one healing.  This was her early opportunity to learn and to serve.  Dr. Wang has simply expanded her capacity to multiply her efforts to benefit more and more people who need opportunities to heal while in the hospital or afterward.

When the Legal Profession (Lawyers in Congress) undertakes to start reforming our Medical Profession, it invites an amused sense of skepticism.  Try to visulize what could happen if the next American Medical Association Convention were to take up reformation of the American Legal Profession!

Thankfully, here in the Miami Valley, we have the one-on-one attentive and thoughtful care that Dr. Wang is making available in all the healing venues throughout the Kettering Hospital Network.

Thank You, “Dr. Becky”!
